a christmas carol

I am so excited! We just bought tickets to see A Christmas Carol at the Armory Theater with the Bartels! I've been wanting to see it for years, and finally remembered to look into it before the holiday rush! Can't wait! 

winter organizing

With winter weather setting in we've been home much more and have realized the home is in need of some serious organization! One such hot spot was my jewelry collection in one of our walk in closet drawer! Since we've had the house, which is closer to 4 years than 3 - I've just had my jewelry in a pile in that drawer. Embarrassing to admit, but it was a mess! 

So! Mom and I were in the grocery store yesterday and while walking through the baking section I found this muffin tin for around 5 bucks! I am really excited for how perfectly it manages all of my necklaces and earrings! And, it's metal - so it's going to last! It fits perfectly in my drawer, and as Mom was so clever to point out - if I get tired of it, I can just use it to bake muffins instead!

Mike brought home a free microwave last night from work! I wasn't the only one who noticed it right away!

CJ came to town

CJ came through Portland on his way back from the state cross country meet last saturday night. It was so good to see our best man and hear what adventures he's had on the other side of state! Come back soon Mr. Savage!

calendar airplanes

We have this giant calendar in our office that we get from Crate and Barrel every Christmas season. Every month we rip off the sheet from the month prior and recycle it! Mike decided to do a little extra repurposing with the october sheet this afternoon...
